September the 5th 1992 the family went to the Arkansas versus The Citadel football game at Razorback Stadium in Fayetteville. That was the last time Dorinda and I attended a Razorback game together. Arkansas lost 10-3 and led to the firing of the head football coach Jack Crowe. That was 19 years ago and we hoped the jinks would end. Saturday we attended the Arkansas versus Mississippi State Bulldogs game at War Memorial Stadium in Little Rock.
Arkansas played an excellent game with only one turnover and defeated MSU 44-17. This was my second trip to War Memorial Stadium, as the first was on the 15th of July 1966 to hear Peter Noone and Herman's Hermits. My sisters were in love with him and the whole family attended the concert at War Memorial. The Animals with Eric Burdon was the opening act. Quite a show with two big name acts.
The football game was just great. Jinks broken. Bring on LSU.
